About Us

A skilled and accomplished industry veteran, NERR’s principal, Robert Platner, has served for over 25 years in senior management and ownership positions in the restaurant, catering and venue management segments of the hospitality industry.  Over the years, Bob has come to have a deep understanding of how to create and develop great concepts and run great restaurants.  Known for his energy and enthusiasm, Bob brings a unique sense of creativity, fun and accountability to the projects he is involved with.  His ability to understand and communicate an organization's goals and objectives translate into results!

Over his career Bob has been an owner as well as holding the positions of Vice President of Operations, Regional Director of Operations, General Manager and Food & Beverage Director in a variety of corporate, multi unit and independent food service environments.  His innovative approach and hands on style is known to solidify relationships, improve operations and grow sales. With those tools, Bob has been able to assemble teams that can take credit for the turn around in quality, service and profitability of some of Boston’s most unique and high profile venues.

A “foodie” at heart, Bob began his career studying and working with renowned teacher, author and restaurateur Madeleine Kamman.  He has hosted a segment on local radio providing insight into food preparation and restaurant operations. Bob is involved and has an unmistakable passion for making your business successful  whether in a highly styled fine dining atmosphere or quality first QSR outlet.

During his career, Bob has built many strong and enduring relationships with some New England’s most talented professionals.  Those relationships have matured into an extensive network of professionals who have expertise in every aspect of the restaurant and catering industries…and beyond.  And so, New England Restaurant Resources was born.  Chef’s, Human Resource Directors, Marketing specialists, Beverage Portfolio Managers and everyone in between now bring their own unique set of skills and perspectives to the business. These professionals are not only great business people, but seasoned teachers, trainers and analysts.  They are working in the field and hold senior positions in the industry TODAY and bring those experiences and skills to your project.  No matter how big or small the challenge, they have all faced it before and have the answers you need!
